ACCIDENTS NEWS

➤ A fire on Willard Road in Winston-Salem displaced two people and firefighters quickly controlled the flames—with help from Kernersville Fire Department, Davidson 61 and Forsyth County EMS—while the cause remains under investigation. WXII 12 News

CRIME NEWS

➤ Winston-Salem police reported that a fatal shooting occurred in the parking lot of Studio Seventy-One on July 13 with one person killed and two injured—while co-manager Phillip Baker claimed the shooting happened in front of Exotic Hookah Lounge at 105 Waughtown St. Winston-Salem Journal
